In-Home Evaluation Program gives you cash incentives to make energy improvements
Saving energy can mean saving money in more ways than one these days. With the new In-Home Energy Evaluation Program from Ripley Power and Light and Tennessee Valley Authority, you will save energy and receive cash for installing the recommended improvements.
Here’s how it works
• Contact Ripley Power and Light to schedule an in-home evaluation. The cost of the evaluation is $150.
• You will receive recommended energy-efficiency improvements for your home.
• If you make at least $150 in improvements within 90 days by an approved contractor, the $150 evaluation cost will be reimbursed, and you will be eligible to get back 50% or up to $500 on those improvements. The improvements must first pass inspection to ensure proper installation and qualify you for the cash incentive.

Adding to the incentives from TVA that help cover the costs of the improvements are two more incentives: Ripley Power and Light offers cash rebates on certain improvements (see details), and the federal stimulus bill offers up to $1,500 in tax credits (see details) for certain home improvements.
